Macy's Settles CVC Sheets' Misleading Thread Count Class Action

Macy's, the renowned retail giant, agreed to settle a class action lawsuit for $10.5 million. The lawsuit alleged that Macy's falsely advertised its CVC (cotton, viscose, and polyester blend) sheets with an inflated thread count, leading consumers to overpay for the sheet sets.

How to Submit a Claim:

If you purchased CVC Sheets from AQ Textiles LLC from a Macy's shop between November 8, 2013, and March 24, 2023 will profit from the settlement. Class members may be eligible for a monetary payout under the settlement's conditions, which are contingent on how many CVC Sheets they bought from Macy's. Claimants may earn up to $7.50 for each unit of CVC Sheets purchased, provided they can show proof of purchase or have their purchases confirmed by Macy's records. Regardless of the quantity of sheets purchased, claimants without proof of purchase may get up to $2.50 per family. September 6, 2023 is the deadline for objections and exclusions. October 20, 2023 is the date of the settlement's final approval hearing. The current expected claim form deadline is April 17, 2024, however it could vary based on the planned final approval hearing. The settlement website is here.
