What happened
Abramson, Brown & Dugan, P.A. (AB&D), a Manchester, New Hampshire law firm that handles medical malpractice and personal injury matters, reported that it identified suspicious activity indicating an unauthorized party had gained access to its network. The firm states that it immediately secured and restored its systems and engaged outside cybersecurity professionals to investigate the scope of the intrusion. The firm has not publicly stated when the unauthorized access began or how long it continued.
According to the notice, a manual review of the files copied from the network was completed on August 14, 2026 and confirmed that they contained personal information belonging to clients and/or employees. Written notices were mailed to affected individuals on September 1, 2026, and the incident was reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General on September 3, 2026. The state filing identifies Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers as the categories of information involved and reports 294 impacted individuals.
