What happened
According to the notice Frazer LLP ("Frazer") filed with the California Attorney General, the firm identified a network connectivity issue on or about March 25, 2025. An investigation conducted with outside cybersecurity specialists determined that an unauthorized party likely accessed Frazer's network between March 24 and March 25, 2025.
Frazer did not confirm the full scope of the potentially affected data until September 18, 2026, and notice was filed with the California Attorney General on October 16, 2026, roughly 19 months after the incident was first detected. The firm reports that full names were among the information that may have been accessed, and its review of additional data fields was ongoing. Frazer is offering complimentary IDX identity protection, including credit and CyberScan monitoring, a $1,000,000 insurance reimbursement policy, and fully managed identity theft recovery services. The enrollment deadline is January 16, 2027.
Accounting and advisory firms typically hold sensitive financial records for their clients, which can include tax documents, Social Security numbers, and account information. Whether Frazer's pre-breach security practices met legal standards, what categories of data were actually involved, and whether the lengthy notification delay caused additional harm are among the issues being evaluated.

How much money could I receive from a class action lawsuit? +
Data breach class action recoveries vary significantly. Settlements typically range from a few hundred dollars for basic out-of-pocket losses to several thousand dollars for documented identity theft, with class size, damages, and negotiation all affecting the final amount. No payout is guaranteed, and this investigation has not yet resulted in a settlement.
What personal information was exposed in the breach? +
