What happened
Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC ("Integrated Specialty Coverages" or "ISC") identified suspicious automated activity targeting a single account on a third-party cloud platform the company uses for electronic document execution and management. ISC states that it contained the activity, activated its incident response plan, and retained outside cybersecurity specialists to investigate. According to the notice ISC filed with state regulators, an unauthorized party accessed one ISC workspace on that platform between June 8, 2026 and June 11, 2026 and downloaded files stored there.
ISC began mailing written notification letters on August 27, 2026, roughly two and a half months after the unauthorized access ended. In its filing with the Texas Attorney General, the company reported 1,836 affected individuals. The notice states that the files involved varied by individual and may have included name, address, date of birth, driver's license number, financial account information, and credit or debit card number. ISC says it has no evidence at this time that any of the information has been misused. Affected individuals are being offered complimentary enrollment in Experian IdentityWorks credit and identity monitoring, with enrollment open until November 30, 2026. The version of the notice posted by the California Attorney General is a template and does not state the length of the monitoring membership.
Insurance managing general agents collect and route unusually sensitive records, because underwriting, binding, and claims documents typically combine identity data with driver's license and payment card details in a single file. The combination of a driver's license number, a date of birth, and a financial account or card number is the set most readily used for account takeover and synthetic identity fraud, and unlike a card number it cannot simply be reissued. Whether ISC's access controls on its third-party document platform, including multi-factor authentication and monitoring for automated credential attacks, met applicable legal standards before the incident, and why notification took until late August, are among the issues being evaluated.
What to do if you received a letter
Keep your notice letter
Do not discard it. Your letter contains the activation code for the Experian IdentityWorks membership and is important evidence if you decide to participate in a lawsuit.
Enroll in the free Experian IdentityWorks monitoring by November 30, 2026
Activate the complimentary Experian IdentityWorks credit and identity monitoring offered in your letter. The notice sets an enrollment deadline of November 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. UTC. Accepting this benefit does not waive your right to pursue legal action.
Place a fraud alert or credit freeze
Contact Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion to place a fraud alert or freeze on your file. Request a free weekly credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com, and use the FTC's IdentityTheft.gov recovery guide. Because the notice indicates that financial account and payment card numbers may have been involved, also review card and bank statements line by line and ask your issuer about replacement cards. If your driver's license number was listed in your letter, contact your state motor vehicle agency about a fraud flag or a replacement license number.

Common questions
I received a data breach letter from Integrated Specialty Coverages. What should I do? +
Keep the letter, activate the free Experian IdentityWorks credit and identity monitoring before the November 30, 2026 enrollment deadline, review your bank, credit card, and insurance account statements for charges you did not authorize, consider a fraud alert or a security freeze with the credit bureaus, and contact a data breach attorney for a free consultation. If your letter lists a driver's license number, ask your state motor vehicle agency what protections it offers. Enrolling in credit monitoring does not waive your right to sue.
Am I eligible to join a class action against Integrated Specialty Coverages? +
If you received an August 2026 breach notice from Integrated Specialty Coverages about this incident, you are likely eligible for a free case evaluation. Eligibility depends on your state of residence, the categories of your data that were involved, and any financial harm you have suffered. Dapeer Law will review your notice at no cost.
How much money could I receive from a class action lawsuit? +
Data breach class action recoveries vary significantly. Settlements typically range from a few hundred dollars for basic out-of-pocket losses to several thousand dollars for documented identity theft, with class size, damages, and negotiation all affecting the final amount. No payout is guaranteed, and this investigation has not yet resulted in a settlement.
What personal information was exposed in the breach? +
According to the regulatory filings, the files downloaded from the affected workspace varied by individual and may have included name, address, date of birth, driver's license number, financial account information, and credit or debit card number. ISC states there is no indication at this time that the information has been misused. The template notice posted by the California Attorney General leaves the specific data type blank, so your individual letter is the authoritative source for which categories of your information were involved.
Did Integrated Specialty Coverages offer free credit monitoring? +
Yes. Affected individuals are being offered complimentary enrollment in Experian IdentityWorks credit and identity monitoring, using the activation code printed in the notice. The letter sets an enrollment deadline of November 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. UTC. The template posted by the California Attorney General does not state the length of the membership, so check your letter for the term. Enrollment does not waive your right to pursue a claim.
How many people were affected by the Integrated Specialty Coverages breach? +
Integrated Specialty Coverages reported 1,836 affected individuals to the Texas Attorney General. Filings in other states did not list separate counts, so the nationwide total may be higher. This page will be updated if additional filings show a larger figure.
Is there a deadline to take legal action? +
Yes. Statutes of limitations for data breach claims vary by state and legal theory, typically ranging from one to six years. Waiting can permanently bar your claim. Contact us as soon as possible for a free evaluation.
How do I get a copy of the official breach notice? +
