What happened
Miles Partnership, LLLP ("Miles") is a marketing services firm headquartered at 6751 Professional Parkway, Suite 200, Sarasota, Florida, that specializes in travel and tourism promotion. On July 31, 2026, Miles filed a data breach notification with the Massachusetts Attorney General reporting that a data security incident affected 26 Massachusetts residents. Notice letters to affected individuals were mailed on July 30, 2026.
The sample notice letter filed with the state does not describe how the incident happened. Miles states in the letter that "due to requirements imposed by Massachusetts law, we are unable to provide you with the details about the nature of this incident." The regulator filing does identify the categories of information involved: driver's license numbers, Social Security numbers, and financial account information. The combination reported here, driver's license numbers together with Social Security numbers and financial account information, is among the most sensitive a company can hold. Unlike a payment card, a Social Security number cannot be reissued on request, and a driver's license number plus a Social Security number is enough for someone to attempt new-account fraud, tax refund fraud, or government benefits fraud years after a breach. Because Miles is a vendor that handles data on behalf of destination marketing organizations and travel clients, the affected individuals may never have had a direct relationship with the company, which is one of the issues Dapeer Law is evaluating.

Because Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers are reported to be involved, also consider filing an IRS Identity Protection PIN request before the next tax season and watching for unfamiliar accounts or license records opened in your name.
