Background

What happened in the Pedigo Products data breach

In a notice letter dated October 22, 2026, Pedigo Products says that an organized cybercrime group appears to have gained access to its corporate network in July 2026 and launched a cyberattack against the company on September 15, 2026. According to the letter, the company immediately shut down its systems and began working with outside cybersecurity specialists. The letter also says the company retained an independent incident response and forensics firm and outside cybersecurity counsel, and notified federal law enforcement.

The letter says the following information was potentially impacted: name, address, date of birth, and Social Security number. The Massachusetts filing lists name, address, date of birth, financial account information, and Social Security number, and reports 1 Massachusetts resident affected. Massachusetts lists the report with a date of October 27, 2026. Pedigo Products is offering 24 months of complimentary identity monitoring through Experian IdentityWorks, with enrollment by January 31, 2027.

The letter does not state the total number of people notified or the exact date the company discovered the intrusion. Whether Pedigo Products' pre-breach security practices met legal standards is among the issues being evaluated.
