What happened
Ridgeway Pharmacy Ltd. ("Ridgeway Pharmacy") reported that on August 21, 2026, an unauthorized party accessed the pharmacy's public website, which had been designed and developed by a third-party vendor. According to the notice, the pharmacy's internal systems were not affected. Ridgeway Pharmacy engaged external cybersecurity and forensic specialists, launched an investigation, and notified U.S. federal law enforcement.
The investigation determined that website records containing names, addresses, dates of birth, health information, prescription information, insurance information, and payment card information could have been viewed or obtained. The notice states that Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers were not involved. Ridgeway Pharmacy began mailing notification letters on or around September 21, 2026, filed a notice with the California Attorney General, and is offering 12 months of complimentary identity monitoring through Cyberscout (TransUnion).
