Who Can File a Claim?

You may be eligible to file a claim if you:

  • Own or lease, or previously owned or leased, one of the following Mazda vehicles:

    • Mazda2 (2016–2022)

    • Mazda3 (2014–2018)

    • Mazda6 (2016–2021)

    • CX-3 (2016–2021)

    • CX-5 (2016–2020)

    • CX-9 (2016–2020)

    • MX-5 (2016–2023)

  • Purchased or leased your vehicle in the U.S. or its territories

  • Experienced issues with the Mazda Connect infotainment system, including rebooting, freezing, or other glitches

About

Mazda has agreed to a $1.9 million class action settlement to resolve claims that its Mazda Connect Infotainment system suffers from technical issues, such as:

  • Unprompted reboots

  • Frozen screens

  • Glitchy touch inputs

  • Overall system malfunction

Though Mazda denies all wrongdoing, it has agreed to settle and provide compensation and extended warranty benefits to eligible vehicle owners and lessees.



Information Covered by the Settlement

The settlement addresses complaints tied specifically to the Mazda Connect infotainment system, also referred to as the Connectivity Master Unit (CMU).

It includes:

  • Reimbursement for out-of-pocket repairs or replacements

  • 24-month warranty extension for software updates and hardware fixes related to the system

How Much Can You Receive?

Eligible Class Members may receive:

  • Up to $1,750 reimbursement per vehicle for repairs or replacements done at non-Mazda repair facilities

  • Full reimbursement for eligible repairs done at Authorized Mazda Dealers

  • 24-month Limited Warranty Extension (automatically applied—no claim required)

  • You must submit documentation for any claim requesting reimbursement. Acceptable forms of proof include:

    • Repair orders

    • Receipts or invoices

    • Itemized billing statements for Mazda Connect-related fixes
