Who Can File a Claim?

  • You bought any of the recalled Quaker products in the U.S. for personal, family, or household use (not for resale), and

  • The purchase happened between the earliest date of distribution and March 13, 2025.

About

If you purchased Quaker Oats granola bars, cereal, or snack packs that were part of the company's December 2023 and January 2024 recalls, you may be entitled to cash from a $6.75 million class action settlement.

The lawsuit alleged that Quaker Oats falsely marketed its products as safe for consumption, despite manufacturing them at a facility that was later found to be contaminated with salmonella. Plaintiffs argued that this posed serious health risks to consumers and violated state consumer protection laws.

Quaker Oats denies all wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to resolve the claims.

How Much Can You Receive?

  • With Proof of Purchase:
You’ll receive a full refund (including taxes) for each covered product listed in your claim.

  • Without Proof of Purchase:
You can claim up to two products per household, and you’ll get the average retail price plus 10% for sales tax.

If you already got a refund from Quaker for any of these products (cash, gift card, coupon), that amount will be deducted from your settlement.

Products Covered by the Settlement

You may qualify for a payout if you purchased any of the affected Quaker Oats products between the time they were manufactured and recalled in late 2023 and early 2024. The list includes dozens of items from popular lines like:

  • Quaker Chewy Granola Bars (including Big Chewy, Dipps, Mini Dipps, Fruity Fun, and Yogurt lines)

  • Simply Granola and Puffed Granola Cereals

  • Cap’n Crunch Cereals and Treat Bars
