State Farm Alabama Total Loss Fees Class Action Settlement
State Farm agreed to a per-claim settlement (no common fund) over allegations it underpaid Alabama insureds on first-party auto total loss claims by failing to pay full Purchasing Fees. Eligible Alabama policyholders with a covered total loss claim paid between November 7, 2018 and February 10, 2026 can submit a Claim Form to receive $20.50, with no documentation required. The claim deadline is July 15, 2026.
Transamerica to Pay $57M to Universal Life Policyowners Hit With 2022/23 Rate Increases, Minimum $200 Per Class Member
Transamerica agreed to a $57 million non-reversionary settlement over allegations that 2022/23 MDR Increases breached universal life policy contracts. No claim form — payments are automatic with a $200 minimum. Opt-out deadline May 30, 2026.
Berton v. Aetna California Infertility Class Action Settlement: $1.75M Fund, Up to $10,000 for LGBTQ+ Members Denied Coverage
Aetna agreed to a $1.75 million Settlement Fund (plus a separate $250,000 Special Harms Common Fund) to resolve claims that it denied equal infertility benefits to California members in LGBTQ+ relationships. Eligible class members can receive a $10,000 default monetary payment, a $1,408 Dollars for Benefits payment, and a share of the Special Harms Fund. Claim and opt-out deadline: June 29, 2026.
