What happened
On August 26, 2026, Castle Management, LLC ("Castle Management"), a community association and property management company headquartered in Plantation, Florida, reported a data security incident to the Massachusetts Attorney General. The company's forensic investigation determined that an unauthorized actor had access to its network between September 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026, and that files containing personal information were present in the affected systems.
Castle Management states that it discovered the intrusion on August 11, 2026, roughly five and a half months after the unauthorized access ended and nearly eleven months after it began. The company reports that it contained the threat, secured its network, and engaged outside cybersecurity specialists to conduct a forensic review. The Massachusetts filing lists 38 affected individuals, all Massachusetts residents, and itemizes the data involved as first and last name, Social Security number, driver's license number, credit or debit card number, and financial account information. Castle Management is offering complimentary identity theft protection through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company, and states that it has no reason to believe the information has been misused.
