What happened
AgelessRx, a telehealth provider based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, learned on April 22, 2026 that an unauthorized party had accessed certain files stored in its help-desk system. According to the notice filed with the California Attorney General, the company engaged a third-party cybersecurity firm to help investigate the scope of the incident. The review indicated that the affected files were support tickets accessed between April 17 and April 22, 2026.
On May 27, 2026, AgelessRx confirmed the categories of information involved. The company reports that the affected help-desk tickets may have contained names, dates of birth, health diagnoses or conditions, medications, and other treatment details. AgelessRx began mailing notice letters to affected individuals on June 23, 2026 and reported the incident to the California Attorney General on June 24, 2026, roughly two months after the breach was discovered. The company is offering affected individuals 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity-restoration services through Experian.
Because the exposed information reportedly includes health diagnoses, medications, and treatment details, the incident raises particular concern. Telehealth providers that handle protected health information are required under state and federal law, including HIPAA, to safeguard that data. The exposure of sensitive medical information can carry risks beyond financial fraud, including privacy harms that credit monitoring alone may not address.
