About

A class action lawsuit was filed, alleging that BCHP failed to implement adequate cybersecurity protections to prevent the breach.
Although BCHP denies any wrongdoing, the healthcare provider agreed to a $5.15 million settlement to resolve the claims and provide relief to those impacted. Affected individuals may be eligible for up to $5,000 in documented loss payments, around $100 in undocumented loss payments, and two years of free medical data monitoring.
