What happened

A class action lawsuit was filed against Ideal Image Development Corporation alleging the company used tracking technologies on its website, idealimage.com, to disclose visitors' personally identifiable information ("PII") to third parties without consent. The lawsuit alleges violations of the Florida Security of Communications Act (FSCA), the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA). The case was filed in the Circuit Court for the 13th Judicial Circuit, Hillsborough County, Florida (Minano v. Ideal Image Development Corporation, Case No. 23-CA-014439).

Ideal Image denies that it violated any law and denies any wrongdoing or liability. The Court has not determined who is right. The parties agreed to a $3,500,000 settlement to avoid the risks, uncertainties, and expenses of continued litigation. In addition to cash payments, the settlement requires Ideal Image to suspend the use of tracking technologies that disclose website users' PII to third parties without consent.

Common questions

How much money will I receive?

If you submit a valid claim, you may receive a cash payment of up to $17. Do I need proof that I used the website?

No. You do not need to provide any receipts, screenshots, or documentation. You simply need to have used idealimage.com to schedule a consultation for services during the class period (January 1, 2023 through January 26, 2026). The claim form is straightforward and free to submit.

Does staying in the class affect my right to sue Ideal Image later?

Yes. If you remain in the Settlement Class, you will release your claims against Ideal Image and certain affiliates related to the allegations in this case, regardless of whether you file a claim. To preserve your right to sue independently, you must mail a written exclusion request to the Settlement Administrator at P.O. Box 225391, New York, NY 10150-5391, postmarked no later than April 27, 2026.

The Court is scheduled to hold a Final Approval Hearing on June 17, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. via Zoom. If the settlement is approved, eligible class members will receive their cash payment approximately 30 days after the settlement becomes final and any appeals are resolved. Payments are made by check unless you elect electronic payment, and checks expire 180 days after they are issued.
