Common questions

How much money will I receive?

You can choose either reimbursement of up to $2,500 for documented out-of-pocket losses related to the Data Incident, or a one-time $50 alternative cash payment. You can also elect two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete credit monitoring. The amount you receive depends on the benefit you choose and whether your claim is approved.

Do I need to submit proof of purchase?

The $50 alternative cash payment and credit monitoring do not require documentation of losses. Documented out-of-pocket loss claims require third-party proof, such as receipts or bank statements, for losses incurred between April 13, 2024 and December 2, 2026. The online form requires the LoginID and PIN from your Notice.

What if I didn’t receive a notice?

The online Claim Form requires the LoginID and PIN printed on the Notice mailed to class members. If you believe you were affected but did not get a Notice or lost your LoginID and PIN, email info@SafeFleetDataSettlement.com or call (855) 256-5304 before the December 2, 2026 deadline. A paper Claim Form can also be downloaded from the settlement website and mailed.

Does staying in the class affect my right to sue later?

If you stay in the settlement, you give up the right to sue, continue to sue, or be part of any other lawsuit against Defendants and the Released Parties over the claims resolved by this settlement, whether or not you file a claim. To keep those rights, you must opt out by November 2, 2026.

When will payments be sent out?

Benefits are distributed after the Court grants final approval and after any appeals are resolved. The Final Approval Hearing is set for November 2, 2026, but claims are accepted through December 2, 2026, and an appeal can add a year or more to the timeline.
