What happened

The lawsuit alleges that SeatGeek did not disclose the total cost of electronic tickets to events in Nevada, inclusive of fees, before purchase, in violation of Nevada law. The case covers electronic ticket purchases for Nevada events made on SeatGeek's website or mobile app from November 7, 2020 through May 12, 2025.

SeatGeek denies these allegations and any wrongdoing, and the Court has not decided who is right. SeatGeek agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty and expense of continued litigation. The Court granted preliminary approval on September 9, 2026.

How to file a claim

  • 1. Confirm you are eligible

You qualify if you bought electronic tickets to an event in Nevada on SeatGeek's website or app between November 7, 2020 and May 12, 2025 and were charged fees. Notices were sent by email beginning October 7, 2026. If you are unsure, call (866) 675-2690.

Each valid claimant receives a pro rata share of the net Settlement Fund, based on the total fees SeatGeek retained on that claimant's Nevada ticket purchases. The final amount depends on how many people file claims and on the fees, costs, and service award the Court approves, so no fixed amount is guaranteed.

The remaining net fund is divided pro rata among class members who submit valid claims, based on the total fees SeatGeek retained on each claimant's Nevada ticket purchases.

Common questions

How much money will I receive?

Payments are a pro rata share of the net Settlement Fund, based on the total fees SeatGeek retained on your Nevada ticket purchases. The amount depends on the number of valid claims and the deductions the Court approves, so no specific amount is guaranteed.

Do I need to submit proof of purchase?

The settlement is based on SeatGeek's purchase records. To be paid you must submit a timely, complete Claim Form by January 5, 2027. The online form uses the LoginID and PIN from your email notice. Check the Claim Form on the settlement website for any information it asks you to provide.

What if I didn’t receive a notice?

If you bought electronic tickets to a Nevada event on SeatGeek between November 7, 2020 and May 12, 2025 but did not receive a notice, email info@SeatGeekNevadaClassAction.com with your full name and mailing address to request your LoginID and PIN, or call (866) 675-2690. You can also mail a paper Claim Form postmarked by January 5, 2027.

Does staying in the class affect my right to sue later?

If you stay in the settlement, you give up your right to sue SeatGeek and the other Released Parties for the claims resolved by this settlement, whether or not you file a claim. The released parties are defined in Section 1.33 of the Settlement Agreement. To keep those rights, you must request exclusion postmarked by December 6, 2026.

When will payments be sent out?

Payments are issued after the Court grants final approval at the January 12, 2027 hearing and after any appeals are resolved. An appeal can add a year or more to that timeline.
