STIIIZY, Inc. agreed to a $2.95 million settlement resolving claims that it failed to secure personal information exposed in an October 2024 data breach the company announced on January 7, 2025. Class members whose personal or health information was accessed can submit a no-documentation pro rata claim or seek reimbursement of up to $7,500 in documented losses, plus two years of free credit monitoring and identity theft insurance.

Do you qualify?
You are a Class Member if ALL of the following apply:
- Your personally identifiable information or private health information held by STIIIZY was accessed, compromised, or stolen in the data breach STIIIZY announced on January 7, 2025 (the breach occurred in October 2024).
- You are a California resident whose Private Information was affected. California class members receive double the pro rata share of non-California class members.
- Excluded: STIIIZY and its officers, directors, agents, and affiliates; STIIIZY's past and present employees; and the judge presiding over the case and their immediate family.

What happened
STIIIZY, Inc. announced on January 7, 2025 that an unauthorized third party had accessed, compromised, or stolen personal information stored on its servers during an incident that occurred in October 2024. Class action lawsuits followed, alleging STIIIZY failed to employ reasonable security measures to protect customers' personal and health information from unauthorized access.
STIIIZY denies the allegations, denies violating any law, and denies all liability. The parties agreed to settle to avoid the cost, risk, and delay of continued litigation. As part of the settlement, STIIIZY has also agreed to make certain business practice changes intended to enhance its cybersecurity systems and better protect customer data going forward.
How to file a claim

1. Confirm you are eligible
You may be a class member if STIIIZY notified you, or you otherwise believe your personally identifiable or health information was accessed, compromised, or stolen in the October 2024 data breach STIIIZY announced on January 7, 2025.

2. Tally up your claim
Choose a no-documentation pro rata cash payment, or a reimbursement claim for documented losses up to $7,500 per person. If your documented losses come in below the pro rata amount, you'll automatically receive the pro rata payment instead. California residents receive double the pro rata share of non-California class members. All class members may also enroll in two years of free credit monitoring, fraud consultation, and up to $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance.

3. File online or by mail

4. Receive your payment
Payments are issued after the Court grants final approval at the October 19, 2026 Fairness Hearing and any appeals are resolved. The appeal process can take a year or more. No follow-up is required once your claim is submitted.

The Fairness Hearing is scheduled for October 19, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. PT in Courtroom 9D, Ninth Floor, First Street U.S. Courthouse, 350 W 1st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012-4565. The Court may move the hearing, so check StiiizyDataBreachSettlement.com for updates before traveling.
Where the money is going
This is a non-reversionary common fund. Attorneys' fees, service awards, and notice/administration costs come out of the $2.95 million before payments are calculated for class members.
All amounts listed above are pending and subject to final court approval at the Fairness Hearing. The Court may award less than the amounts requested. If valid claims exceed what remains of the fund, payments will be reduced on a pro rata basis. Any funds remaining after the claims process will be donated to a cy pres recipient approved by the Court.
Common questions
How much money will I receive?
Class members choose between two claim options: a pro rata cash payment (no documentation required) or reimbursement of documented losses up to $7,500 per person. If a documented-loss claim comes in lower than the pro rata amount, you'll automatically receive the pro rata payment instead. California residents receive double the pro rata share of non-California class members. No payout amount is guaranteed until the Court approves the settlement and the claims process concludes.
Do I need to submit proof of purchase?
No documentation is required for the pro rata cash payment option, just a completed Claim Form. If you seek reimbursement for documented losses (up to $7,500), receipts or other records supporting your claimed losses will strengthen your claim.
What if I didn’t receive a notice?
Yes. If you believe your personally identifiable or health information was accessed, compromised, or stolen in the October 2024 data breach STIIIZY announced on January 7, 2025, you may still be a class member and can submit a Claim Form even if you did not receive a notice directly.
Does staying in the class affect my right to sue later?
If you stay in the settlement (by submitting a claim, doing nothing, or objecting), you give up your right to sue STIIIZY separately over the claims resolved in this case. To keep that right, you must opt out by August 26, 2026, following the instructions on the settlement website.
When will payments be sent out?
Payments are expected to be issued after the Court holds the Fairness Hearing on October 19, 2026 and grants final approval, and after any appeals are resolved. The appeal process can take a year or more.
