What happened

This lawsuit, Grivetti, et al. v. Dental Intelligence, Inc., claims that Dental Intelligence collected information patients entered into the LocalMed Portal, an online tool many dental offices use for appointment booking, and disclosed it to Google and other third parties without consent through tracking technology. The case is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Dental Intelligence denies all allegations and any wrongdoing, and the Court has not decided who is right. As part of the settlement, Dental Intelligence says it has implemented additional measures to prevent future disclosure of LocalMed Portal information to Google.

Common questions

How much money will I receive?

Do I need to submit proof of purchase?

The settlement website does not list any receipts or records you must submit. You complete a Claim Form confirming you used the LocalMed Portal during the class period. Get more information from the settlement website directly at DISettlement.com.

What if I didn’t receive a notice?

You may still be a class member if you used the LocalMed Portal between March 2022 and June 2025. Get more information from the settlement website directly at DISettlement.com or call (888) 836-1698.

Does staying in the class affect my right to sue later?

Yes. Unless you exclude yourself by December 28, 2026, you give up the right to sue Dental Intelligence and the Released Parties over the claims resolved in this case, including claims about the alleged disclosure of LocalMed Portal information to third parties. The release is in Section X of the Settlement Agreement, available at DISettlement.com.
