Common questions

How much money will I receive?

It depends on what you claim. Ordinary documented losses are reimbursed up to $1,000, and extraordinary documented losses up to $10,000 (including lost time at $30 per hour for up to 5 hours). California residents may claim a $250 statutory payment. All class members may receive a pro rata residual cash payment from any money left over, and can claim three years of three-bureau credit monitoring. Amounts may be reduced pro rata.

Do I need to submit proof of purchase?

Proof is required only for out-of-pocket and extraordinary losses, which need receipts or other documentation you did not prepare yourself. Lost time requires an attestation and a description of what you did. Credit monitoring, the California payment, and the residual cash payment do not require proof of loss.

What if I didn’t receive a notice?

The class includes only U.S. residents to whom Kisco sent written notification of the Data Incident. If you believe you received a notice letter but did not get a settlement notice, get more information from the settlement website directly at KiscoSettlement.com or call 1-888-261-1545.

Does staying in the class affect my right to sue later?

Yes. Unless you opt out by December 18, 2026, you give up the right to sue Kisco and the other Released Persons over claims arising from or related to the Data Incident, whether or not you file a claim. The full release is in the Settlement Agreement, available at KiscoSettlement.com.

When will payments be sent out?

Payments will be made only after the Court grants final approval at the March 18, 2027 hearing and any appeals are resolved. Check KiscoSettlement.com for updates.
