What happened
This lawsuit, In re Lakeside Pediatric Data Breach Litigation, claims that Lakeside Pediatric failed to protect patient information when a criminal third party gained unauthorized access to its network in October 2024. Files that may have been accessed include names, dates of birth, driver's license or state ID numbers, medical record numbers, diagnosis and treatment information, lab results, medication information, health care claims information, and for a limited number of people, Social Security numbers. The case is pending in the District Court for Kootenai County, Idaho.
Lakeside Pediatric denies all claims, allegations of wrongdoing, and liability, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties agreed to settle to avoid the cost and risk of continued litigation.

Common questions
How much money will I receive?
You can claim reimbursement of up to $2,500 for documented losses such as identity theft or fraud losses, credit report, monitoring, or freeze fees, ID replacement, and postage. Do I need to submit proof of purchase?

When will payments be sent out?
