What happened
The lawsuit concerns a Data Incident at Mullinax Ford of Central Florida Inc., an automobile dealership in Central Florida. According to the settlement documents, unauthorized threat actors accessed the dealership's computer network between December 4 and December 25, 2025. Mullinax Ford discovered the incident in February 2026 and sent notices on or around April 15, 2026. The information potentially involved includes full names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, financial information, and driver's license or state identification information.
Mullinax Ford denies all allegations and any wrongdoing, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties agreed to settle to avoid the cost, risk, and delay of continued litigation. Under the Settlement Agreement, Mullinax Ford pays approved claims and all settlement administration costs, and any attorneys' fees, costs, and service awards the Court approves are paid separately and do not reduce class member benefits.

Where the money is going
This settlement does not create a fixed common fund. Mullinax Ford pays each approved claim up to the stated per-person limits and is solely responsible for all settlement administration costs. Class Counsel's requested $140,000 in fees, costs, and expenses and the requested service awards are paid separately and do not reduce the benefits available to class members.
All amounts listed above are pending and subject to final court approval at the Final Approval Hearing. The Court may award less than the amounts requested. Documented loss and lost time payments are limited to approved amounts supported by the Claim Form and documentation.
Common questions
How much money will I receive?
You may claim up to $3,000 in documented losses plus up to $75 for lost time (3 hours at $25 per hour), or instead a flat $50 alternative cash payment. You can also elect two years of one-bureau credit monitoring with either option. Payments depend on the Claim Form being approved and are not guaranteed.
Do I need to submit proof of purchase?
Documented Losses require documentation supporting the unreimbursed loss. The $50 alternative cash payment and credit monitoring are not described as requiring documentation of losses, but you still need to submit a valid Claim Form. The Claim Form asks for the Notice ID on your notice.
What if I didn’t receive a notice?
The settlement class is made up of people who received notice of the Data Incident from Mullinax Ford. If you believe you are a class member but did not get a settlement notice or Notice ID, contact Angeion Group at 1-866-353-4326 or info@MullinaxCarDealershipSettlement.com before the November 23, 2026 deadline.
Does staying in the class affect my right to sue later?
If you stay in the settlement, you give up the right to sue, continue to sue, or be part of any other lawsuit against Mullinax Ford and related parties over claims arising out of or relating to the Data Incident, including claims that could have been raised in this case, whether or not you file a claim. To keep those rights, you must mail an opt-out request postmarked by November 9, 2026.
When will payments be sent out?
Benefits are distributed after the Court grants final approval at the December 8, 2026 Final Approval Hearing and after any appeals are resolved. An appeal can add a year or more to that timeline.
