You are a Class Member if ALL of the following apply:
- Your private information may have been potentially compromised in the cyberattack on True World Holdings, LLC's systems discovered in August 2024 (the "Data Incident"), including if you received notice of the breach.
- Private information potentially involved in the Data Incident includes names, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth.
- Excluded: The judge presiding over the case, and the judge's family and staff; True World Holdings, LLC, its subsidiaries, parent companies, successors, predecessors, and any entity in which True World or its parents have a controlling interest; and anyone who validly excludes themselves from the Settlement.

What happened
Plaintiff Patrick Byrd filed this class action against True World Holdings, LLC after the company discovered a cyberattack on its computer systems in August 2024. Certain files that may have contained personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth, were potentially accessed.
True World denies that it did anything wrong, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties agreed to settle the case to avoid the cost, risk, and time of continued litigation.
How to file a claim

1. Confirm you are eligible
You qualify if your private information may have been potentially compromised in the True World Holdings data incident discovered in August 2024, including if you received notice of the breach.

2. Choose your cash payment
Submit documentation of out-of-pocket losses fairly traceable to the Data Incident for up to $2,000 (Option 1), or take a no-proof flat cash payment of $50 (Option 2). Either option can be combined with one year of credit monitoring backed by $1 million in identity theft insurance. Cash payments and notice/administration costs are capped at an aggregate of $325,000 and may be reduced pro rata.

3. File online or by mail
Submit the Claim Form online at trueworlddatasettlement.com/form/claim by September 8, 2026, or mail a paper Claim Form (postmarked by September 8, 2026) to: True World Data Incident Settlement, c/o Settlement Administrator, P.O. Box 25226, Santa Ana, CA 92799.

4. Receive your payment
Payments are issued after the Court grants final approval at the November 16, 2026 Final Approval Hearing and any appeals are resolved. The appeal process can take a year or more. No follow-up is required once your claim is submitted.

The Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for November 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET in Room 3 of the Frank R. Lautenberg Courthouse, 2 Federal Square, Newark, New Jersey 07102. The Court may move the hearing, so check TrueWorldDataSettlement.com for updates before traveling.
Where the money is going
This is not a fixed common fund. Cash payments to Class Members plus the settlement notice and administration costs are capped at an aggregate of $325,000, and will be reduced pro rata if that cap is exceeded. Attorneys' fees and the Class Representative service award are requested separately and are paid by True World in addition to the $325,000 cap.
All amounts listed above are pending and subject to final court approval at the Final Approval Hearing. The Court may award less than the amounts requested. If the total value of cash claims plus notice and administration costs exceeds $325,000, cash payments will be reduced pro rata.
Common questions
How much money will I receive?
You can choose Option 1, reimbursement for documented out-of-pocket losses fairly traceable to the Data Incident, up to $2,000, or Option 2, a one-time flat cash payment of $50 that requires no documentation. Do I need to submit proof of purchase?
Option 2, the $50 flat payment, requires no documentation. Option 1, the up-to-$2,000 documented-loss payment, requires proof such as bank statements or receipts showing the date, amount, and nature of the loss, that it is fairly traceable to the Data Incident, and that you attempted to dispute or challenge the underlying charge. Personal notes alone are not enough to support a valid claim.
What if I didn’t receive a notice?
True World's records indicate who may be a Class Member, and you may have already received a notice directly from the company. If you believe your information was affected but did not receive a notice, contact the Settlement Administrator at (833) 421-7261 or info@TrueWorldDataSettlement.com to confirm your eligibility and submit a Claim Form by the deadline.
Does staying in the class affect my right to sue later?
Yes. Unless you mail a written Request for Exclusion postmarked by August 10, 2026, you remain a Class Member and release your right to sue True World over the claims resolved by this Settlement. When will payments be sent out?
The Court will hold the Final Approval Hearing on November 16, 2026. Settlement payments will be distributed only after the Court grants final approval and any appeals are resolved, which can take a year or more. No action is required after a valid Claim Form is submitted; check TrueWorldDataSettlement.com for updates.
