What happened

Delores Featherstone and nine other named plaintiffs sued FCA US, LLC in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. They allege that FCA US did not include all required pay in the regular rate used to calculate overtime for hourly production employees, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Illinois Minimum Wage Law, the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act, the Ohio Minimum Fair Wage Standards Act, and the Ohio Prompt Pay Act.

FCA US denies the allegations, and the Court has not decided who is right on the merits. The parties agreed to settle to avoid the cost, risk, and delay of continued litigation. The Court preliminarily approved the settlement on May 1, 2026.

How to file a claim

  • 1. Confirm you are a Class Member

If you were an hourly employee at any FCA US facility in the United States from February 10, 2020 through May 12, 2025, you are likely a Class Member. Postcard notices were mailed with each person's workweeks and estimated payment. If you are unsure, call Atticus Administration at 1-800-453-5790.

  • 2. Understand how your share is calculated

The Net Settlement Amount is divided by the total workweeks of all Settlement Class Members, and that per-week amount is multiplied by your workweeks during the class period. Each payment is split 50% wages (reported on a W-2) and 50% liquidated damages (reported on a Form 1099). Your actual payment may be more or less than the estimate on your postcard.

  • 3. No claim form: keep your address current

There is no claim form. Payments are mailed automatically, so keep the Administrator informed of any address change until you are paid. Contact Atticus at 1-800-453-5790, FeatherstoneFCASettlement@atticusadmin.com, or by mail at Featherstone v. FCA US, c/o Atticus Administration, PO Box 64053, Saint Paul, MN 55164. The Long Form Notice and other case documents are posted at FeatherstoneFCASettlement.com.

  • 4. Receive your payment

Payments are mailed after final approval, entry of final judgment, and the end of any appeals. Checks must be cashed within 180 days of mailing or they are cancelled, and the release still applies. Endorsing your check also opts you into the FLSA portion of the case.
